We are 7 billion people on the Earth, and each of us has desires and visions about it, but this is not enough for changing something. We see the problems in our society, we wish to see a change, but the only thing we do is keep wishing. Unfortunately, there are just a few people that wish less and do more. The idea that was said by Mahatma Gandhi ,,Be the change you wish to see in the world’’ is the only one and the most important thing we can do, so let’s make the change happen. But what does this mean?
Making things happen is all about creativity and lack of indifference, not waiting for the next person to do what you have the capacity to do. For instance, corruption is an actual problem that needs to be solved. If you don’t bribe, if the person next to you does the same thing, it will stop because what we actually do, is waiting for the authorities to solve the problem to which we contri bute day by day with the thought ,,Why should I stop, if the other person doesn’t? Equally important to the previous paragraph are involvement and courage. It is necessary not only to see the matter but also to have the courage to be the light to this dark world. A good example can be Malala Yousafzai. She considereted it a problem not having the right to education just because of the gender. What if she didn’t have the courage and hadn’t taken the risk? Nothing would have happened. Acting with no fear, made her be the change she wanted to see in the world.
To sum up, I agree with what Mahatma Gandhi said because if you want to see the change in the world, start with you.
